Born in Puerto Rico and spending much of his childhood on his grandparents’ cattle ranch and coffee farm, JP became interested in the dynamic relationship between people and nature at a very young age. This formative experience ignited JP’s lifelong interest in the stewardship of the built and natural environment and the connections and memories we can create through design and collaboration.

JP received a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Design from the University of Puerto Rico and a Masters of Architecture and Landscape Architecture/Regional Planning from the University of Pennsylvania. Prior to joining Campbell Landscape Architecture, he has collaborated with Field Operations, Slade Architecture, RSHP, Luis Vidal Arquitectos, SWA Group, and Ten Eyck Landscape Architects. He has also participated as a visiting lecturer for graduate and undergraduate studios.
