Formally part of the Thomas C. Green Water Treatment Plant, the Block 185 tower site is bounded by Shoal Creek to the west, 2nd Street to the north, Nueces to the east, and Cesar Chavez to the south in Austin. The tower placement was based on maximizing downtown density, preserving ecology and habitat along Shoal Creek though minimal disturbance, and improving walkability through a new north south pedestrian colonnade between Cesar Chavez and 2nd street adjacent to Shoal Creek. The project also includes COA Great Streets improvements and tenant garden terraces on multiple levels within the building.
