Located on the west side of downtown Austin, the Tarrytown Waterfront Park design proposes a new vision that includes upgrades to boat storage, picnic facilities, a new gateway entry and other new park features such as a community firepit. Located along the Lower Colorado River, this property has roughly 240' of waterfront in need of restoration. Our plan proposes a layered edge condition reflective of the changes in water elevation typical of this location. The design also incorporates targeted areas where people can easily reach the water to limit harmful impacts along the majority of the shoreline.
